Tokyo Sumo Show & Experience with Chanko Hot Pot (Ginza)
Get up close with real sumo wrestlers in Ginza. Watch a live sumo show, join the rituals, cheer, and challenge a wrestler in the ring — then enjoy all-you-can-eat chanko hot pot. Training option too.
Sumo is Japan's national sport — but at a tournament you're far from the action. Here in the heart of Ginza, you get as close as it gets: a lively, interactive sumo show where real wrestlers perform right in front of you, and you become part of the fun.
An English-speaking host guides you through it all, explaining sumo's history, rituals and techniques in a way that's genuinely entertaining. You'll watch powerful live bouts, learn what the salt-throwing and stomping really mean, split into teams and cheer your wrestler at the top of your lungs — and if you're picked, you can even step into the ring and take on a wrestler yourself (great for photos, even better for stories back home).
Then comes the reward: a hearty, all-you-can-eat bowl of chanko nabe, the protein-packed hot pot sumo wrestlers eat every day. You're free to take photos and videos throughout, so you'll leave with a camera roll full of once-in-a-lifetime moments.
Want to go hands-on? Add the Training option and learn real moves from a former top-division (makuuchi) wrestler, pose in a ceremonial kesho-mawashi belt, and take home a signed handprint souvenir — chanko hot pot included.
It's hands-on, hilarious and surprisingly moving — a hit with families, couples, solo travelers and first-timers alike.
